Two Families Return Home Thanks to NWCDC Support and South Sound Transit Donated Homes By Janet Morrell June 26 2026 When fire swept through the BJHC neighborhood and destroyed 10 homes, it left families displaced and a community shaken. But through the persistence of NWCDC and the generosity of partners like South Sound Transit, hope has returned. Thanks to a $1 million Capital Improvement Grant secured by NWCDC, critical infrastructure repairs are underway — and two families have already moved back in.
