Senator John Hickenlooper(D-CO)has introduced the Capital Cooperatives Act to help even the playing field for cooperatives working with the Small Business Administration.
The Capital for Cooperatives Act would require SBA to change regulations on loan guarantees made to co-ops to ensure that risk is adequately mitigated, without requiring a personal or entity guarantee from borrowers.
