How Housing Cooperatives Have Empowered Low Income Communities and Preserved Permanently Affordable Housing

This webinar will inform the audience about NWCDC’s work, through the ROC program, which, to date, has preserved 33 communities across WA at risk of becoming unaffordable through purchasing properties and converting them to housing cooperatives. We will discuss the benefits for the current residents and for the sellers of the properties, and discuss how communities have benefited tangibly since becoming ROCs (Resident Owned Communities). The webinar will run about 45 minutes (30 minutes of presentation and 15 minutes for questions)
