Miles Nowlin present his talk entitled: “Housing Justice is Cooperative: Preservation, Empowerment, and Stability in a Time of Crisis” at the National Association of Housing Cooperatives at their 59th annual meeting to be held in Miami next month. Manufactured Housing Communities are home to some of the most vulnerable low-income individuals in the country. With a growing housing crisis is the US, folks move to these communities as affordable options with opportunities to build assets. However, as the developer industry grows more competitive and profitable, homeowners are threatened with the insecurity of unexpected rent increases and displacement due to redevelopment.
